Infineon Technologies CYPD3176 EZ-PD™ BCR-PLUS Controllers
Infineon Technologies CYPD3176 EZ-PD™ BCR-PLUS USB Type-C™ Port Controllers are highly-integrated, pre-programmed devices included in the Barrel Connector Replacement (BCR) family. The CYPD3176 supports ports with or without USB data capability. The CYPD3176 Controllers are intended for electronics with legacy barrel connectors (up to 100W) or USB micro-B. These applications include drones, smart speakers, power tools, and other rechargeable devices.The Infineon CYPD3176 EZ-PD BCR-PLUS Controllers comply with updated USB Type-C and USB Power Delivery (PD) standards. Devices can quickly convert from being powered through a barrel connector to being powered through the USB-C™ with few external components and no additional firmware development. The CYPD3176 arrives with pre-programmed firmware and functionality.
The CYPD3176 is highly-integrated with a complete USB Type-C transceiver, USB PD policy manager, a soft start load switch controller, all termination resistors needed for a USB Type-C port, and system-level ESD protection.
The CYPD3176 EZ-PD BCR-PLUS Controllers are encapsulated in a 24-pin QFN package.
