Diodes Incorporated PAM8016 Haptic Driver
Diodes Incorporated PAM8016 Haptic Driver is designed with low latency and high-efficiency. This PAM8016 haptic driver can drive Linear Resonance Actuator (LRA) and Eccentric Rotating Mass (ERM) haptic elements commonly used for tactile feedback. The haptic driver for ERM and LRA supports flexible inputs with differential, single-ended, or PWM inputs that eases the host microcontroller in driving the haptic elements. This PAM8016 audio amplifier reduces the number of external components required, using less PCB area and lower system costs. The PAM8016 haptic driver features short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown to provide optimal protection. This PAM8016 haptic driver operates at a 2.8V to 5.5V supply voltage range and offers high efficiency up to 90% at 8Ω loading. Typical application includes mobile phones and tablets, watches and wearable technology, joystick, jog dial mice, and peripheral devices.
