NXP Semiconductors NTBMS Power Management IC Tool

NXP NT Battery Management System (NTBMS) Power Management IC Tool is a generic e-mobility Battery Management System (BMS) for producers of Li-Ion battery systems in automotive applications. The device is designed for operation with a 12V to 18V DC power supply. This tool is also designed for systems with high demand for reliability and safety up to ASIL C according to ISO 26262. NXP NTBMS IC tool is used as a starter battery or auxiliary battery with Li-Ion cells. The battery system of Li-Ion battery includes cell monitoring, current sensing, passive cell balancing, and battery breaker control. This BMS is required to monitor the state of charge, load distribution, the temperature of each battery, and the development of the charging capacity.

The BMS is in charge to steer and control high-voltage batteries of electric and hybrid electric vehicles. Applications include automotive BMS for starter battery with Li-Ion battery, smart grids, medical, e-bike, light transportation, and industrial.
