STMicroelectronics STEF12S Electronic Fuses

STMicroelectronics STEF12S Electronic Fuses are integrated electronic fuses optimized to monitor the 12VDC power lines. These fuses are capable of precisely detecting and reacting to overcurrent and overvoltage conditions. The STEF12S electronic fuses limit the output current when an overload condition occurs to a safe value defined by the user. If the anomalous overload condition persists, the device goes into an open state, disconnecting the load from the power supply. These electronic fuses offer adjustable current limit, thermal protection, input under-voltage lockout, and low inrush current during startup. The STEF12S electronic fuses are available in TSOT23-8L and DFN10 (3mm x 3mm) packages. Typical applications include hard disk and SSD drives, hard disk array, hot-swap board, and hot-plug protection.
