STMicroelectronics EV-VNQ9050LAJ Evaluation Board

STMicroelectronics EV-VNQ9050LAJ Evaluation Board allows an easy way to connect VNQ9050LAJ into an existing system. The EV-VNQ9050LAJ arrives pre-assembled with the VNQ9050LAJ high-side driver. An onboard minimum set of electrical components enables the user to directly connect the load, power supply, and microcontroller without requiring additional effort in external component design and connection. The EV-VNQ9050LAJ is a quad-channel high-side driver manufactured utilizing ST's proprietary VIPower M0-9 technology and enclosed in a PowerSSO-16 package.

The STMicro EV-VNQ9050LAJ Evaluation Board is created to drive 12V automotive grounded loads through a 3V and 5V CMOS-compatible interface, supplying protection and diagnostics. The device integrates advanced protective functions, including load current limitation, overload active management by power limitation, and overtemperature shutdown with a configurable latch-off feature. A FaultRST pin unlatches the output in the event of a fault or disables the latch-off functionality. A dedicated, multifunction, multiplexed analog output pin delivers diagnostic functions, including high-precision proportional load current sense, as well as the detection of overload and short-circuit to ground, short to VCC, and OFF-state open-load conditions. A sense enable pin provides an OFF-state diagnosis to be disabled during the module's low-power mode, as well as external sense resistor sharing among similar devices.
