Texas Instruments IWRL6432FSPEVM Sensor Evaluation Module (EVM)

Texas Instruments IWRL6432FSPEVM Sensor Evaluation Module (EVM) is a form factor-optimized, easy-to-use 60GHz mmWave sensor evaluation kit based on an IWRL6432 device with an onboard FR4-based antenna. This board enables proximity sensing and provides access to point-cloud data over the UART interface and 3.3V power input. A USB-to-UART converter board can be used to access data and power the board via USB to connect to the Texas Instruments IWRL6432FSPEVM from a PC. This board is not provided with the kit and can be ordered separately (410-212). MmWave tools, demos, and software, including mmWave software development kit MMWAVE-L-SDK and RADAR-TOOLBOX, support this kit.

  • FR4-based PCB substrate
  • Four receive (RX) and two transmit (TX) antennas with 120° azimuth field of view (FoV) and 80° elevation FoV
  • Cost-optimized PCB rules include lower manufacturing cost, no micro vias, only through via, and no vias on the BGA pads
  • Onboard DC-DC to provide 1.8V and 1.2V rails for power-optimized topology
