STMicroelectronics AEK-POW-BMSCCTX BMS Evaluation Board

STMicroelectronics AEK-POW-BMSCCTX Battery Management System (BMS) Evaluation Board is a high-performance evaluation board designed to streamline the development of scalable and reliable battery monitoring solutions for automotive and industrial applications. Built around the L9963T battery monitoring and balancing IC, the AEK-POW-BMSCCTX board supports configurations of up to 31 nodes. Each node is capable of managing between four and 14 lithium-ion cells, enabling it to handle battery packs ranging from 48V to 800V. The board features an isolated SPI transceiver, ensuring safe and robust communication with external microcontrollers or vehicle control units (VCUs), and includes connectors for daisy-chaining multiple boards in a modular setup. This makes the board ideal for prototyping and validating complex battery systems in electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), and energy storage systems (ESS).

The AEK-POW-BMSCCTX offers scalability, safety features, and advanced monitoring capabilities, such as voltage, temperature, and current sensing, along with cell balancing and coulomb counting. These features are essential for maintaining battery health, optimizing performance, and ensuring safety in high-voltage environments. The board is also compatible with the AutoDevKit ecosystem, which simplifies integration and accelerates development workflows. With a compact design, robust architecture, and comprehensive feature set, the STMicroelectronics AEK-POW-BMSCCTX serves as a powerful tool for engineers and developers working on next-generation battery-powered systems.
